Zinc Oxide Arrester Tester is an instrument used to detect the electrical performance of zinc oxide arresters. It is suitable for live or outage testing of zinc oxide arresters at various voltage levels, thereby promptly identifying dangerous defects such as internal insulation moisture and aging of valve plates.
The tester is simple to operate and convenient to use. The entire measurement process is controlled by a microcontroller. It can measure the total current, resistive current and its harmonics, power frequency reference voltage and its harmonics, active power, and phase difference of zinc oxide arresters. The large screen can display the real waveforms of voltage and current.
The instrument employs digital waveform analysis technology, using software anti-interference methods such as harmonic analysis and digital filtering to ensure accurate and stable measurement results. It can accurately analyze the content of the fundamental wave and the 3rd to 7th harmonics, and can overcome the influence of inter-phase interference to correctly measure the resistive current of side-phase arresters. This device is equipped with a high-speed panel printer and rechargeable battery, making it very convenient for field use. The instrument uses a high-speed magnetic isolation digital sensor to directly collect input voltage and current signals, ensuring data reliability and safety. It is mainly used to measure resistive current to analyze the degree of aging and moisture absorption of zinc oxide.
1. Usage Methods
1. Open the box cover and firmly ground the instrument casing.
2. Insert one end of the arrester into the high-voltage bushing of the zinc oxide arrester DC parameter tester, and clamp the other end with a wire clip.
3. Turn on the power switch. After the internal self-check of the zinc oxide arrester DC parameter tester, the alarm light and discharge light will illuminate. Press the test button once, and the readings on both meters should be zero ±1 digit.
4. Press the reset button once. The alarm light will turn off, and the zinc oxide arrester DC parameter tester enters the testing state, ready for testing.
二、Precautions
(1) If the alarm light illuminates when pressing the test button, it indicates an internal poor contact defect or loose external wiring. After the discharge light illuminates, check whether there are issues with external wiring, or replace the test sample and press the reset button again for the next test.
(2) If the alarm light does not illuminate, it indicates good internal contact and no wiring issues. The Zinc Oxide Arrester Tester will automatically enter the state of measuring U1mA and Id, and display the test results on the meters. After the discharge light illuminates, the test is complete. Remove the test wiring or replace the test sample for the next test.
