Darui Electric recommends for you
DC high voltage generator is an indispensable testing instrument in the power industry, mainly used to test the electrical insulation strength and leakage current of power devices. Its application provides strong safety assurance for power workers. Users should pay attention to the following points when using it to ensure safe operation.
Safe operating procedures for DC high voltage generator
1. When using the DC high voltage generator, users must comply with Article 168 of the "Power Safety Regulations" and install two obvious disconnection points before the working power enters the tester. When replacing test samples and wiring, first clearly disconnect the two power disconnection points. At the same time, at least three staff members must be present on site to effectively ensure the safety of users.
2. The DC high voltage generator is an instrument that provides high voltage DC source. Before using the DC high voltage generator, the instrument must be reliably grounded. Personnel using the DC high voltage generator must be professionals with a "High Voltage Test Work Certificate".
3. Before turning on the power on the control box, ensure that the DC high voltage generator is connected to a 220V AC power supply, carefully check whether the wiring is correct, and also check whether the wiring of the high voltage discharge rod is reliable. During the voltage increase and decrease process of the DC high voltage generator, maintain a slow rise and slow fall. Stable voltage increase is one of the main key points to extend the service life of the DC high voltage generator. Also, try to avoid using the instrument beyond its range.
4. When the DC high voltage is 200kV and above, although test personnel wear insulating shoes and are outside the safety distance area, due to the influence of the electric field distribution of the high voltage DC ion space, several adjacent standing people may carry different DC potentials on their bodies. Test personnel should not shake hands with each other or touch grounding bodies with their hands, otherwise there may be a slight electric shock phenomenon. This phenomenon is more obvious in dry areas and winter, but because the energy is small, it generally does not cause harm to the human body. The power supply of the DC high voltage generator control box is AC220V±10%, 50Hz. If the power supply passes through a 1/1 isolation transformer or uses on-site self-generated power, it is necessary to manually connect one point of the power supply to the earth.
5. Try to avoid using the instrument beyond its range. After each test, first return the potentiometer to zero, then cut off the power before discharging the test object. The discharge process is divided into two steps. For large capacitance test objects, use the ZS discharge resistor rod to discharge the test object. When discharging, do not immediately contact the test object with the discharge rod. First, gradually approach the test object with the discharge rod. When the air gap begins to ionize and discharge at a certain distance, there will be a hissing sound. When there is no sound, the discharge rod can be used for discharge, and finally directly connect to the ground wire for discharge.
