AC/DC High Voltage Test TransformerThe power frequency power supply is input into the operation box (or operation console), and the voltage is adjusted by the auto-coupling voltage regulator to input to the primary winding of the test transformer. According to the principle of electromagnetic induction, power frequency high voltage can be obtained on the secondary (high voltage) winding. This power frequency high voltage can be rectified by high-voltage silicon stack and filtered by capacitor to obtain DC high voltage, whose amplitude is 1.4 times the effective value of the power frequency high voltage. However, when using DC, the short-circuit rod should be pulled out, and when using AC, the short-circuit rod should be inserted.
2. Test transformer with taps:
In order to simultaneously satisfy the contradiction between higher voltage and smaller current, and lower voltage and larger current in a transformer, the high voltage winding is divided into two windings: one with larger current and the other with smaller current. Then the two windings are connected in series and led out separately. The schematic diagram is as follows:
Usage precautions
The test transformer should be used together with the operation box (console). For the usage of the operation box (console), please refer to the operation box (console) instruction manual in detail.
The transformer shell and high voltage tail must be grounded. To ensure safety, sufficient distance must be maintained between test personnel and other tested equipment and the test transformer.
The output of the test transformer should generally be connected in series with a current limiting resistor to protect the equipment. Transportation and storage
