1. Functions
(1) Ultrasonic partial discharge detector performs non-contact scanning on running transformers, GIS and other high-voltage primary equipment to detect and locate external discharges;
(2) It scans live equipment in open (outdoor) areas of substations to detect and locate various discharges (corona, arc, flashover, creepage, broken wires, arcing, etc.);
(3) It scans running high-voltage switchgear to detect and locate faults such as partial discharge and loose screws;
(4) It detects and locates insulator discharge on towers, creepage on outdoor cable terminations, and partial discharge in underground cables;
(5) In handover and preventive tests of power systems, and in partial discharge tests of main transformers and GIS, this device is used together with a partial discharge detector. If partial discharge occurs, it can distinguish whether it is internal or external discharge. If it is external, it can locate the specific discharge point;
(6) In factory tests of large oil-immersed transformers and GIS, this device is used with a partial discharge detector. If discharge occurs, the screen of the partial discharge detector cannot show whether it is internal or external. Using the handheld inspection locator to scan, external discharge can be quickly detected and located. If no external discharge is found, it is judged as internal discharge. For factory partial discharge tests of dry-type transformers, using this device with a partial discharge tester can quickly distinguish between internal and external discharge. In addition, scanning live dry-type transformers can accurately and quickly detect and locate both internal and external discharges;
(7) Mechanical faults in bearings of large machinery due to poor lubrication can be detected and located with this device;
(8) Leak detection of high-pressure sealed gases and liquids;
