Simultaneous thermal analysis combines thermogravimetric analysis (TG) with differential thermal analysis (DTA) or differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) into one unit, allowing for the simultaneous acquisition of thermogravimetric and thermal effect information from the same sample in a single measurement.
Compared to separate TG and/or DSC tests, it offers the following significant advantages:
1. Through a single measurement, both mass change and thermal effect information can be obtained, which is not only convenient and time-saving, but also requires less sample, making it highly beneficial for situations where samples are expensive or difficult to prepare.
2. It eliminates the effects of weighing errors, sample uniformity, heating rate consistency, atmosphere pressure, and flow rate differences, resulting in better correspondence between TG and DTA/DSC curves.
3. Based on whether a thermal effect corresponds to a mass change, it helps to identify the physicochemical process associated with that thermal effect (e.g., distinguishing melting peaks, crystallization peaks, phase transition peaks from decomposition peaks, oxidation peaks, etc.).
4. It tracks sample mass changes in real time as a function of temperature/time, allowing the calculation of enthalpy based on the current actual mass of the sample (rather than the initial mass before measurement), which is beneficial for accurate calculation of phase transition heat, reaction heat, etc.
Product Features
1. The furnace heating element uses precious metal nickel-chromium alloy wire wound in double rows, reducing interference and withstanding higher temperatures.
2. The tray sensor is precision-crafted from precious metal nickel-chromium alloy, offering advantages such as high-temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, and corrosion resistance.
3. The power supply, circulating heat dissipation part, and main unit are separated to reduce the impact of heat and vibration on the micro-thermal balance.
4. It adopts a top-opening structure for convenient operation. Moving the furnace body up to load samples is difficult and can easily damage the sample rod.
5. The main unit uses a water bath constant temperature device to isolate the thermal influence of the heating furnace on the chassis and micro-thermal balance.
6. It uses an imported 32-bit ARM processor with Cortex-M3 core, providing faster sampling and processing speeds.
7. A 24-bit four-channel sampling AD converter collects DSC, TG, and temperature T signals.
8. The furnace body can be replaced according to customer requirements.
