| The clamp ground resistance tester is used for measuring ground resistance of power, telecommunications, meteorological, and other equipment. This instrument comes in long jaw and round jaw types; the long jaw is particularly suitable for occasions with flat steel grounding wires. Traditional testers, although the grounding electrode of the grounding body is qualified, the connecting wire between the grounding body and the overhead ground wire may have excessive contact resistance or even open circuit after long-term use. Even if the grounding resistance of the grounding body meets the requirements, the grounding system is not qualified, and this situation cannot be measured by traditional methods. Regarding environmental adaptability, traditional methods require driving two auxiliary electrodes with relative position requirements, which is a limitation of traditional methods. The problem is that with the development of urbanization in China, the soil around the measured grounding body cannot be found; it is all covered by cement. Even if there are so-called green belts, street gardens, etc., their soil is often separated from the earth's soil. Moreover, traditional methods have requirements for the relative position of auxiliary electrodes when driving them. Finding soil with distance requirements is even more difficult in most cases. Principle of Resistance Measurement The basic principle of the clamp ground resistance meter for measuring ground resistance is to measure the loop resistance. The jaw part of the clamp meter consists of a voltage coil and a current coil. The voltage coil provides an excitation signal and induces an electromotive force E on the measured loop. Under the action of E, a current I is generated in the measured loop. The clamp meter measures E and I, and the measured resistance R can be obtained through the following formula.
