Correct Test Operating Procedures for KJ880 Microcomputer Relay Protection Tester
Calibration of AC voltage/current/inverse time current relays
In the "Ramp Test" software module, set Ua (or Uab)/Ia as "fundamental wave" output, and set it to a certain initial value, set the step size, use the mouse to click the "Output Increase" and "Output Decrease" buttons or press the F5 and F6 shortcut keys on the keyboard to increase or decrease voltage/current, measure the operating value and return value, as well as the operating time and return time of voltage/current/inverse time current relays, and calculate the return coefficient.
Calibration of DC voltage/current relays
In the "Ramp Test" software module, set Ua (or Uab)/Ia as "DC" output, and set it to a certain initial value, set the step size, use the mouse to click the "Output Increase" and "Output Decrease" buttons or press the F5 and F6 shortcut keys on the keyboard to increase or decrease voltage/current, measure the operating value and return value, as well as the operating time and return time of voltage/current relays, and calculate the return coefficient.
3. Calibration of time relays
In the "Ramp Test" software module, measure the operating value, return value, operating time, and return time according to the test method for DC or AC voltage relays.
Calibration of power relays for KJ880 microcomputer relay protection tester
(1) Measurement of operating zone and sensitivity angle of power direction relay
In the "Ramp Test" software module, set Uab and Ia to rated values, set the step size of Uab phase angle, increase or decrease the voltage phase angle, measure the boundary angles φ1 and φ2 on both sides of the operating zone, then the sensitivity angle φLM = 1/2 (φ1 + φ2).
(2) Measurement of minimum operating power
In the "Ramp Test" software module, set the angle to the sensitivity angle φLM, set Ia (or Uab) to the rated value, set Uab (or Ia) to zero, set the step size of Uab (or Ia), increase the voltage (or current). Measure the minimum operating power.
(3) Creep test
In the "Ramp Test" software module, open the current circuit, set the initial value of Uab to zero and the step size to the rated voltage, suddenly apply or remove the voltage, and the relay contacts should not have instantaneous closure.
Short-circuit the voltage circuit through a resistor, set the initial value of Ia to zero and the step size to several times the rated current, suddenly apply or remove the current, and the relay contacts should not have instantaneous closure.
(4) Memory effect test
In the "Ramp Test" software module, set the angle to the sensitivity angle, set Ia to 0.5 times and several times the rated current, and when Uab suddenly drops from 100V to zero, the relay should operate reliably, indicating good memory effect.
Calibration of impedance relays
(1) Measurement of sensitivity angle and setting impedance of impedance relay
In the "Ramp Test" software module, set Ia to (or 1A), Uab to the voltage corresponding to 0.7 times the setting impedance, increase or decrease the voltage phase angle, measure the boundary angles φ1 and φ2 on both sides of the operating zone, then the sensitivity angle φLM = ½ (φ1 + φ2). Set the phase angle to φLM, change the voltage from high to low until the relay operates, obtain the operating voltage UDZ, and calculate the setting impedance ZSET according to ZSET = UDZ / I.
(2) Measurement of precision operating current curve
In the "Ramp Test" software module, fix the angle between voltage and current as φLM, change the current Iab step by step, at each current increase or decrease the voltage Uab (can use automatic mode), measure the operating value, and plot the precision operating current curve Z = f(I).
(3) "Bird peck" phenomenon
In the "Ramp Test" software module, open the current circuit, set the initial value and step size of Uab to the rated voltage, and when the voltage suddenly drops from rated to zero, the relay contacts should not have closure.
Calibration of synchronization check relays
(1) Measurement of operating angle
In the "Ramp Test" software module, adjust the polarity terminals, set Ua and Uc to rated voltage, change the angle between the two voltages, and measure the operating value and return value.
(2) Measurement of operating and return voltage
In the "Ramp Test" software module, set one coil voltage to zero, gradually increase the other coil voltage from zero to measure the operating voltage, then gradually decrease the voltage to measure the return voltage. Swap the coils and perform the same test.
Calibration of low frequency relays
In the "Frequency Test" software module, set voltage and current to rated values, set the initial frequency value and manual frequency conversion step size, gradually decrease the frequency to measure the low frequency operating frequency value and operating time, then gradually increase the frequency to measure the return frequency value and return time.
Change the frequency conversion mode to automatic frequency conversion, set the automatic frequency conversion step size Df/Dt to the setting value, decrease the frequency, the relay should not operate, and repeated tests for several times should all reliably not operate.
Calibration of differential relays
(1) Measurement of DC magnetizing characteristic
In the "Differential Protection" software module, set the restraining current Ir as DC current, change the Ir value step by step, at each magnetizing current increase or decrease the operating current Id, measure the operating current IDZ, and plot the restraining characteristic curve.
(2) Measurement of ratio restraining characteristic
In the "Differential Protection" software module, set the restraining current Ir as fundamental wave current, change the Ir value step by step, at each restraining current increase or decrease the operating current Id, measure the operating current IDZ, and plot the restraining characteristic curve.
(3) Measurement of second harmonic restraining characteristic
In the "Differential Protection" software module, set the restraining current Ir as second harmonic current, change the Ir value step by step, at each restraining current increase or decrease the operating current Id, measure the operating current IDZ, and plot the second harmonic restraining characteristic curve.
(4) Measurement of high-order harmonic restraining characteristic
In the "Harmonic Test" software module, set the restraining current Ir as the superimposed current of various harmonics, change the value of a certain harmonic of Ir step by step, and measure the operating current IDZ.
