Automatic Insulated Boots (Gloves) Withstand Voltage Test Device
1. Fill the water tank with water (two-thirds of the entire tank), fill the test object with water, and ensure the water level inside and outside the insulated boots (gloves) is the same height, with a 90mm portion exposed above the water surface. Make sure the exposed part of the insulated boots (gloves) is dry and clean, then place the high-voltage electrode inside the insulated boots (gloves) and clamp them securely.
2. Connect the grounding terminal on the insulated boots (gloves) test cart to the ground grid, and also connect the grounding terminal on the control panel of the insulated boots (gloves) to the ground grid, ensuring it is at the same grounding point as the test cart's grounding terminal.
3. Check whether the main power supply matches the input power (0~220V 50Hz), and use the multi-core cable provided with the control box to connect the control box to the test bench.
4. Close the power switch to enter the measurement state; the system will self-check for a few seconds.
5. Press the test button, and pay attention to the prompts below the display screen. The high-voltage voltage column on the display should show the high-voltage value (kV), and simultaneously display the leakage current values (mA) for all 6 channels.
6. During the voltage increase process, the alarm buzzer will sound, indicating that voltage is being raised. Please closely monitor the voltage and current values. When the voltage reaches the set value, the voltage increase will stop, and automatic timing will begin. After the time is up, the voltage will automatically decrease. (See Figure 1)
7. Pay attention to the leakage current values. If the insulation performance of any insulated boots (gloves) decreases, the corresponding leakage current will be indicated. During the test, if any channel's current indication exceeds the specified range for the test object, the system will automatically cut off the high-voltage power supply. Turn off the power switch, identify the cause, and then proceed with the test again.
8. During the voltage increase or withstand voltage test, if overcurrent such as short circuit, flashover, or breakdown occurs, the corresponding data will be displayed in reverse video and held. The system will automatically return to zero for the next test.
9. After each test, you must turn off the power switch and then turn it back on to perform the next test.
