KZT Series Test Transformer Console is the supporting equipment for high-voltage test transformers. It is used together with the test transformer for withstand voltage and leakage tests.

This series of products features a compact appearance, small size, light weight, simple operation, and easy maintenance.
This series of consoles is composed of a contact-type voltage regulator and control, protection, measurement, and signal circuits. By connecting to a 220V/380V power frequency supply, the output voltage of the regulator (i.e., the input voltage of the test transformer) is adjusted to obtain the required high test voltage (the withstand voltage value of the test object).

4. Operating Instructions:
1. Connect the console to the test transformer according to the wiring diagram shown in the figure, and be careful not to forget the grounding wire. After careful inspection, the power can be turned on for testing.
2. Connect the power supply, rotate the regulator handwheel to the zero position, close the zero-position switch, and the power indicator light will illuminate (indicating that the regulator output is zero).
3. Press the start button, the contactor engages, the regulator receives power, and the power indicator light illuminates.
4. Rotate the regulator handwheel slowly and evenly clockwise, closely monitoring the meter readings. When the required voltage value is reached, stop rotating the handwheel. After the test has lasted the required time, promptly rotate the handwheel in the reverse direction until the regulator returns to the zero position.
5. After the test is completed, press the stop button, the contactor de-energizes, the working indicator light goes out, and the zero-position indicator light illuminates.
6. This device is equipped with overcurrent protection. Use the transfer switch to select the overcurrent relay according to the overcurrent value required for normal testing of the test object. The relay is set at 80% of the set value at the factory. When using small loads, it should be re-adjusted according to the load current to ensure equipment safety. If the test object breaks down, short-circuits, or overcurrents during the voltage increase process, the overcurrent relay operates, the power is cut off, indicating that the product is unqualified. At this time, the regulator should be rotated to the zero position.
7. The KZT series consoles have functions such as closing, timing, and alarm.
5. KZT Console Usage and Maintenance
1. When unpacking, check whether the equipment is intact; especially whether the wiring terminals are loose, and whether the carbon brush of the regulator is in good contact with the surface of the regulator.
2. Strictly follow the operating procedures. Please read the manual carefully before use.
3. If not used for a long time, before reuse, use a 2500V megohmmeter to check the insulation resistance of the main circuit to ground, which should not be less than 1.5MΩ.
