The KZT series test transformer console is auxiliary equipment for high-voltage test transformers. It is used together with the test transformer for withstand voltage and leakage tests.
II. Main Features of KZT Console:
This series of products features compact appearance, small size, light weight, simple operation, and convenient maintenance.
This series of consoles is composed of a contact-type voltage regulator and control, protection, measurement, and signal circuits. By connecting to a 220V/380V power frequency supply, the output voltage of the voltage regulator (i.e., the input voltage of the test transformer) is adjusted to obtain the required high test voltage (the withstand voltage value of the test object).

IV. Operating Instructions:
1. Connect the console to the test transformer according to the wiring diagram shown in the figure. Be sure not to forget the ground wire. After careful inspection, the power can be turned on for testing.
2. Turn on the power, rotate the voltage regulator handwheel to the zero position, close the zero switch, and the power indicator light will illuminate (indicating that the regulator output is zero).
3. Press the start button, the contactor engages, the voltage regulator is energized, and the power indicator light illuminates.
4. Rotate the voltage regulator handwheel slowly and evenly clockwise, closely watching the meter readings. When the desired voltage is reached, stop rotating the handwheel. After the test has run for the required time, rotate the handwheel counterclockwise in time until the regulator returns to the zero position.
5. After the test is completed, press the stop button, the contactor is de-energized, the working indicator light goes out, and the zero position indicator light illuminates.
6. This device is equipped with overcurrent protection. Use the transfer switch to select the overcurrent relay according to the overcurrent value required for normal testing of the test object. The relay is set at 80% of the set value at the factory. When using small loads, it should be re-adjusted according to the load current to ensure equipment safety. If the test object breaks down, short-circuits, or overcurrents during the voltage increase process, the overcurrent relay will operate, cutting off the power, indicating that the product is not qualified. At this time, the voltage regulator should be rotated to the zero position.
7. The KZT series console has functions such as closing, timing, and alarm.
V. KZT Console Usage and Maintenance
1. When unpacking, check whether the equipment is intact; especially whether the wiring terminals are loose, and whether the carbon brush of the voltage regulator is in good contact with the surface of the regulator.
2. Strictly follow the operating procedures. Please read the instruction manual carefully before use.
3. If not used for a long time, before reusing, use a 2500V megger to check the insulation resistance of the main circuit to ground. The value should not be less than 1.5MΩ.
