The rechargeable zinc oxide arrester tester is specially used to detect internal defects caused by poor contact between the valve plates of gapless zinc oxide arresters (MOA) at 10kV and above. It is essential for power plants and substations to perform DC 1mA voltage (U1mA) and leakage current tests at 0.75 U1mA on metal oxide arresters before the annual thunderstorm season and when necessary.
