Design features:
The SCH acid purifier consists of an acid addition funnel, a PFA chamber, a PFA collection bottle, and a PTFE column. The lower part of the PFA chamber stores the raw acid and is covered with a cylindrical silicone heating jacket. All parts that come into contact with acid are made of high-purity PFA material, which has low background contamination and does not contaminate the purified acid. The addition funnel is located on the right side of the instrument for easy operation. By adding the acid to be purified into the addition funnel, the raw acid is gradually injected from the bottom of the chamber. The volume of acid in the chamber is indicated by the liquid level indicator on the acid injection tube. The electric heating jacket is controlled by a variable temperature digital temperature controller. The distillation temperature is adjustable between 40°C and 180°C. Heating the acid in the chamber produces high-purity acid vapor. The acid vapor comes into contact with the pagoda-shaped condensation chamber wall above and condenses, then is directly led through the collection channel into a 2L high-purity PFA collection bottle. The pagoda design allows for air cooling to condense the acid vapor without the need for cooling water, making the instrument easy to install and cost-effective. The exhaust ports of the condensation chamber and collection bottle allow air to enter during acid distillation and to be expelled after the acid is collected in the bottle.
