At 12:33 on May 20, the 220kV Yanbei A and B lines of the third channel for transmitting power to Macau by China Southern Power Grid successfully passed the cable AC withstand voltage test, marking that the cable equipment of the project is basically ready for operation. It is expected to be put into operation by the end of July, which will further enhance the power supply reliability to Macau. It is understood that the Guangdong-Macau interconnection lines include the Beichannel Zhuhe A, B, and C lines, the Nanchannel Qilian A, B, and C lines as 220kV main supply lines, and the Gongao A and B lines as 110kV backup lines, with a total transmission capacity of 1.1 million kilowatts. After the third channel project is put into operation,
the third channel project for transmitting power to Macau by China Southern Power Grid consists of the 220kV Yandun Station in Zhuhai, the 220kV Beian Station in Macau, and a cable line of about 10.4 kilometers between the two stations. Among them, the Zhuhai section cable line is about 8.7 kilometers, and the Macau section cable line is about 1.7 kilometers. The project is managed by CSG International Company in conjunction with Guangdong Power Grid Company, and the EPC consortium composed of Guangdong Power Grid Energy Development Company and Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute is responsible for construction. At present, all works of the project have been completed.
