Correct Operating Procedures for DC High Voltage Generator - Yangzhou Dary
Dary Electric recommends
The DC high voltage generator is a device that provides high voltage DC power. Before using the equipment, it is necessary to ensure that the equipment is grounded. Employees using the DC high voltage generator need to be experts with a "High Voltage Test Certificate". To use the DC high voltage generator, users must comply with the provisions of Article 168 of the "Electrical Safety Regulations" and install two obvious disconnection points before the working power enters the tester. When replacing wiring with test products, the two power disconnection points must be clearly disconnected first. At the same time, at least three workers must be on site to ensure the safety of the user.
Before turning on the equipment power, ensure that the DC high voltage generator is connected to a 220V AC power supply, carefully check the wiring, and ensure that the wiring of the high voltage discharge rod is reliable. During the boost/buck process of the DC high voltage generator, it is necessary to maintain slow rise and deceleration. Stable boost is one of the key points to extend the life of the DC high voltage generator. In addition, do not use the equipment beyond the specified range. After each test, return the potentiometer to zero, turn off the power, and then discharge the test product. The discharge process is divided into two stages. For the discharge of large capacitance test products, use the ZS discharge resistor rod to discharge the test product. When discharging, do not immediately contact the test product with the discharge rod. Instead, gradually approach the test product with the discharge rod. When the air gap begins to discharge freely at a certain distance, there will be a hissing sound. When there is no sound, the discharge rod can be used for discharge, and then directly connect to the ground wire for discharge. When the DC high voltage is 200kV or higher, the tester wears insulating shoes and is not within the safe distance, but due to the influence of the spatial electric field distribution of high-voltage DC ions, the DC potential of nearby human bodies will be different. Inspectors must not shake or touch ground contact objects. A slight electric shock may occur. This phenomenon is more obvious in dry areas and winter, but due to its low energy, it usually does not harm the human body.
The power supply of the DC high voltage generator control box is AC220V±10%, 50Hz. When replacing the power supply with 1/1 isolation or self-generated power on site, it is necessary to artificially connect one point of the power supply to the earth.
